Comments from readers:

OBAMA COMPLAINED about America being responsible for violence in Mexico. I wonder if he was including the 2,000 weapons the federal government allowed to be smuggled into Mexico and put in the hands of drug cartels. It would be nice for Obama and Holder to come clean on this instead of claiming executive privilege!

WE NEED DR. FRAZIER at the alternative school! Frankly, we could do with a Dr. Frazier at every school. He does work very well with young people who need more discipline and toughness. I realize some people prefer a cuddly teddy bear but you can’t have the tough bear and teddy bear both to work at the same time. Keep Dr. Frazier as he is.

THUMBS DOWN TO certain commenters who frequent The Chronicle chat room. With little more than the scant information provided in a news article, goaded on by others of like minds, they assume the role of judge and jury. Why bother with factual evidence? All they need is a “rope and tree limb” to dispense their vigilante justice. If they are called out, these diva’s cry like little girls and whine, “That’s not fair”. Trolls used to lurk under bridges. Now they hang out on Web sites, cloaked by catchy usernames.

THERE IS SO MUCH wrong in Lincoln County schools. Being a small community, we fear the wrath of the chosen.

WANT TO GET RID of Azziz? 1. Flood the Governor’s Office with e-mails and hand-written letters. Picket Deal when he is in Augusta.

WHY NOT USE CAMERAS for Operation Thunder and use the deputies for downtown? Seems like a simple solution.

WHEN YOU READ THE allegations against Wayne Frazier, you wonder how he has stayed on as principal of anything ... much less a dysfunctional school. Get Professional Standards involved and get Frazier out of our district.

RANTS TO Richmond County police. Where were you when the brawl broke out on Broad Street? And to you lowlifes who would rather use your phone to record the brawl than to dial 911 for help. Downtown Augusta will always have a bad reputation as long as law enforcement ignores the problems and until the brawlers/trouble makers/lowlifes learn how to behave.

HOW CAN A FAMILY come up with $50,000 bond money when they cannot help his only child?

Jake in response to your

Jake in response to your comment "Other than the fact that he likes the Giants and is sometimes less than cordial, I see nothing hateful or borderline obscene in what he says."

Due to the fact that GAD's comment which I was responding to had been removed I can see where you would get this opinion. The comment that was remove was demeaning and disrespectful and contained an obscene reference (that is why it was removed). When someone says "Shut the heck up" but used a word that is considered the "f" bomb instead of heck, then I'm not so much worried about my little sarcasm being a little less loving and Christian-like. I repented this morning for allow GAD to draw me into his child-like antics, so Jake sometimes it's wise to have all the facts. Sometimes things aren't always what they seem.

Regarding Noah and the great flood........

Why is it every major religion has a documented a similar occurrence in about the same time frame?

To discredit the Great flood as hearsay would have the debater saying that Domains spread out over years of travel believed and adopted a story that was NOT their own, did so all about the same time in their own scrolls of history.

Or, the more plausible answer is, we looking at such a great flood that it affected areas that bump up to these Domains that are spread over 1000's upon 1000's of miles?

I can only think of 2 things that could cause such a flood.

* a 1,000 mile long Ice Dam holding back a 1000 miles of water.
The problem here is, there is no record of a missing "sea" in the history scrolls.

* Or GOD WAS REALLY mad at what he was seeing, and flooded the CIVILIZATION of that time.

Barry's Santos/Obama's Father and mother weren't not true Liberal's, they were Social-Democrats.

A Liberal couple would have aborted him.
While A Social Democrat couple just see's another mouth that

I see this morning that

I see this morning that Obama's half brother got his tax exempt charity approval in 30 days and the IRS made it retroactive for the 4 years that he had been operating it ILLEGALLY.

Also see that the EPA has also been discriminating against conservative groups. Conservative groups requesting information from the EPA were charged "fees" while liberal groups requesting information had their "fees" waived.

We have reached that "oppressive" line. Our government agencies, at the direction of politicians and political appointees, are being used against us for political purposes. We are seeing one of the most corrupt, lying, underhanded, vindictive, ruthless, power abusing administrations in history and they are using our government agencies to wage war on us.

Without the harassment of conservative groups by the IRS and the EPA, there may well have been a different outcome in the last election. Without the Benghazi cover-up there may have been a different outcome. As far as I am concerned, our current government, the Obama government, is illegitimate....literally. It is conceivable they stole an election by lying, covering up, and using government agencies to suppress the opposition.

If this doesn't scare you....if this doesn't make you fear for the future of this country.....then we have reached the blind cult following of pre-war Germany.

How many posters does it take to change a light bulb?

Answers:

1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed.

14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the
light bulb could have been changed differently

7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs

6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb"

Another 6 to condemn others as stupid

2 so-called industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is "lamp"

15 know-it-alls who claim they were in the industry, and that "light
bulb" is perfectly correct

19 to post that this article is not about light bulbs and to please take
this discussion to a Rants and Raves section.

11 to defend the posting saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant to any article.

36 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this technique and what brands are faulty

5 People to post comments about how light bulbs now-a-days burnout too quickly.

7 to post URL's where one can see examples of different light bulbs

4 to post that the URL's were posted incorrectly and then post the
corrected URL's

13 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all
headers and signatures, and add "Me too"

5 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot
handle the back biting controversy

4 to say "Didn't we go through this already a short time ago?"

13 to say "Do a search on light bulbs before posting questions about
light bulbs"

4 to bring politics into the discussion by adding that Barak O. isn't
the brightest bulb.

4 to say the same thing about George W. Bush

12 in a separate discussion on personal attacks over their political views.

12 to discuss wattage vs. luminous

4 to protest mercury in the new light bulbs and say its a Government plot to poison us.

30 to talk about how they purchased all the old light bulbs they could find.

A few more to talk about taxing the evil light bulb companies that are making to much $$$.

100's calling for a NEW Law that officially calls a Light Bulb a Lightbulb.

4 English professors to point out the proper sentence syntax usage of Light-bulb.

1 Word Smith and word Nazi to step in and cause a stink.

Sean M. to lock the light bulb comments.
Because the original Article was about a dozen found kittens.

1 commenter seeking to get the last word in responds to the original post a few months from now and start it all over again.

Now a Challenge.
Name an AC Article where you have seen most of these applied to any subject or topic.

Day Old Comments and Editorial

Is this a budget move like we hear the post office talking about? Cutting down on the number of days? I feel like the morning after when I've had a party drinking way too much and am forced to use the leftovers. I wake up with a hangover, drinking warm beer still in the open cans and smoking the long cigarette butts left in the overflowing ashtray. (Fans, it's a joke, don't start praying for me.)

@ dichotomy

When Obamacare was first proposed, the chairman/ceo of the company I worked for went on financial news TV program to say how detrimental it would be to companies in the healthcare business.

Soon after, the FDA came after us with a vengeance never seen before, causing us to pull certain products from the market on what essentially was a technicality customers were aware of and had already made an accomodation for. That began to have a cascade effect, affecting other products and finally crippling the company to the point of needing to have another larger company take us over just to survive.

The Dept of Labor decided to audit us in the same time frame......

All coincedence?
