Coast Guard boating safety course to be offered Saturday

The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary’s “About Boating Safely” course will be offered from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 4232 Evans to Locks Road.

Topics will include maritime rules of the road, Georgia and South Carolina regulations, how to prevent emergencies and respond to them, docking, cruising tips, anchoring, trailoring your boat, navigating on the lake, and personal watercraft operations and regulations. Participants should bring a box lunch.
