Rants & Raves

Comments from readers:

RAVE FOR THE nurses in the heart and vascular floor at University Hospital. Jordan, Lindsay, Addy and Larry were absolutely awesome. Thank you so much and God bless each one of you.

RANT TO THE RICHMOND County Board of Education. You have done something that I did not think anyone could do – make my wife retire next year. Because of the nine furlough days this year and the 15 days they are talking about for next year, my wife is making so little that she can retire and get a salary increase.

IS THERE ANY MORAL fabric left in America? I overheard a conversation between two young women today – one who couldn’t wait to visit her boyfriend who is in prison for child molestation. Child molestation. Said she loved him so much but admitted to the others there she was having sex with other guys while he was gone. What type of sick world are we living?

RANT TO THE people who believe all religions are morally equivalent. Do you believe this about the Aztec religion? To satisfy their gods they regularly sacrificed animals, slaves, captives and children. Priests even wore the skins of captives for 20 days. Step off the planet and take the scales from thine eyes.

I AM SHOCKED TO SEE the Senate refused to pass a gun control bill that would require background checks at gun shows. Why do these senators want crazy people to be able to obtain guns?

RAVE FOR Richmond County Officers Youngblood and Meyers. Thank you so much for your assistance with my tire.

I JUST WANTED TO give a big rave to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office. Thank you so much for helping my husband when he broke down on the off-ramp of Calhoun Expressway and Eve Street. Then followed him to the auto parts store making sure he got somewhere safe.

HOW CAN POLITICIANS the media ask whether the Boston bombings were “terrorism”? If it causes terror, it’s terrorism, no matter who sets it off. The source doesn’t matter; it’s still terror, so it’s still terrorism.

THE BOSTON SLAUGHTER has completely obliterated the North Korean maniac from the news. What other important things are going on that the Boston over-coverage is keeping from us?

Ranter #9

The fact that the North Korean dictator is a maniac (and quite childish, at that) is the very reason that the U.S. executive branch administration (aka "the regime") should never have invested one iota of energy, money, scorn, outrage, coddling, pleading or anything else on him. I am ashamed that my president gave Kim even the time of day.

Ignore him, do not give him any humanitarian aid. Let his regime fail from within because of its own depravity and poverty.

You have an unalienable right to exchange money for goods and services at your grocery store. Would you want the grocery store manager to be required to do a background check on you every time you bought a pack of cigarettes? What might they find in your medical records? What might they find in your tax records? What might they find in your bank records? What might they find in the web sites you have visited? What might they find on your hard drive? What might they find in the cloud? Why would you give up that privacy? And why would you hold up all those other people in line behind you?

Aztecs

About those Aztecs and their religion, Cortes taught them about benevolent religion, alright, as he massacred thousands of them.

No background checks at gun shows?

False.

If you purchase a firearm from a FLL dealer you get Background checked or he loses his license, on his next ATF inventory inspection.

If you mean PRIVATE Sells between citizens are exempt, that has been the law since day 1, at least for the sane and still free parts of this country.

It allows me as a father to sell or give a firearm to my responsible children or grandchildren without the Gov. sticking its nose into my Christmas or birthday gifts.

LL brings up a point

An example of a few criminals disrupting 1000's of mothers wishing to feed their babies.

If you are an expected mother or just a supermarket shopper you may have noticed Powdered Baby formula in some area stores has been placed in locked glass cases or out of reach behind the counter. I asked the store clerk why?

She said beside the shoplifters, the drug dealers use it to cut coke, heroin and etc. drugs. Some area stores, I was told, have people signing for powder baby formula. This mean the mother has to hunt down a store clerk with a key, or wait to purchase food for her baby, all because of a few criminals.

When a law punishes the honest and not the criminal, the law is dishonest.

"How can ... the media ask

... whether the Boston bombings were 'terrorism'?"

Love to field the easy ones: Because until The Obamessiah says otherwise it's never terrorism; it may have been 'sports-related violence', 'workplace violence', or as in the case of his mentor Bill Ayers, an 'act of conscience'. That it appears to have been perpetrated by Muslims is not worthy of note or all but briefest of mention.

Ignore those men behind the curtain.

"... Why do these senators want crazy people

One supposes the same reason liberals want these same crazies unsupervised, unmedicated, out on the streets.

(Democratic voters?)

"Is there any moral fabric left in America?..."

Yes, but it is being systematically supressed and pushed out of the public weal. With control of education, information, and the connivance of the courts any attempt at maintaining morality is being marginalized. Morality's support of the fabric which maintains all societies is now portrayed as judgmental and those who are steadfast as a danger to that same society as "haters".

Those who want to keep what they've earned, are vilivifed as greedy and heartless. Those who want to rear children in a two parent home, are portrayed as intolerant, those who limit their number of children to provide for them are forced to pay for those who breed for bucks. The writer above notes the Aztecs sacrificed lives to their gods by the thousands; this society has sacrificed the lives of millions on the altar of a cult of selfishness.

(Off my soapbox now and into the woods for some nature time.)

"HOW CAN POLITICIANS the media ask whether the Boston bombings were “terrorism”?"

When the president and first lady have friends and financial supporters like William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, liberal politicians and the mainstream media have to be careful as to what incidents they call terrorism and who they call a terrorist. Especially when it might be muslim related.

When the President launched his campaign from the house of a man who attempted to bomb the Pentagon, you really do need to be careful what is called terrorism.

Like comments made that my avatar indicates I am a muslin, just because I don't believe like an non-American Liberal does.

@HA

I hope the idiot in the White House now realizes you can't sit down and talk to terrorists. If you can give refuge and aid to people who then turn on you and try to terrorize you, kill and maim you, you had better wise up.

Some Americans Don't Understand...

....how a man can place a bomb at the feet of an 8 year old boy and then detonate it. Some muslims consider it a duty. What percentage of the 1.6 billion muslims are so radicalized? Nobody knows. Even if it's ONLY ten percent, that's 160 million radicals who would, if they could, press a button and vaporize every man, woman, and child in America.
