An accident on an Augusta interstate interchange is slowing traffic today, police report.

According to a news release from the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, deputies said just before noon an 18-wheeler was traveling west and using the I-20 exit ramp to head east on Bobby Jones Expressway when its load apparently shifted, flipping the vehicle onto its side.

The driver had minimal injuries, deputies said, but traffic is moving slowly on westbound I-20 at Bobby Jones Expressway. The sheriff’s office is assisting the Georgia State Patrol.
