Training to become a volunteer sexual assault victim advocate will be offered at University Hospital from March 7-11.

Rape Crisis and Sexual Assault Services volunteers work with survivors of sexual assault, including men, women and children. They are required to be on-call at least 24 hours a month and able to respond to local hospitals within 30 minutes of a crisis.

Volunteers also participate in community education and awareness events, Rape Crisis and Sexual Assault Services fundraisers, and attend a free self-defense class.

To volunteer call (706) 774-2746 or e-mail volunteerrcsas@uh.org.
