Rants & Raves

A ROGUE FORMER LA policeman who murders a fellow officer is branded a “domestic terrorist” with a million-dollar bounty on his head. An American Muslim Army major who murders 14 fellow soldiers and has direct communication with al-Qaeda is just a case of “workplace violence.” Go figure.

OBAMA’S STATE OF THE Union address was more of the same on the transparent government. This administration’s next four years will be transparent as a piece of coal.

A BIG THANK-YOU to Sens. Chambliss and Isakson for voting for the Violence Against Women Act.

IT’S 5:49 A.M., DARK and raining, and there is a school bus picking up students. Really? 5:49 a.m. for children to get to school?

KUDOS TO OUR Augusta Chronicle deliveryman (Cedar Creek-Aiken). He delivered every paper during a recent rainy week completely dry! He double- and even triple-bagged my newspaper and threw it to the lawn not the driveway. He did everything he could to deliver a nice and dry newspaper.

A GIGANTIC RANT to Augusta Chronicle for printing the Section 8 rant. I am not surprised that people have racist views but for a paper to print such an overtly racist and bigoted statement … I am surprised; shame on you, Augusta Chronicle.

COUNT ME IN FOR naming the new Lakeside facility for Ryan Clark. Appropriate memorial for a heroic young man who died trying to save others.

RAVES TO THE city of Augusta. They are going green by having recycling collection events monthly around the city.

RANT TO JURY SERVICES for mailing a letter for jury duty to person that has not lived at my address in 9 years. Another rant to the Board of Elections for giving them the name and address and finally a RANT to the Postal Service for returning the letter “Unable to Forward/For Review” when the return address is 2 inches to the left of their yellow sticker.
