Longtime Morris Communications accountant A.B. 'Chip' Metts dies

Alvin Bruce “Chip” Metts, 59, of Augusta, a longtime employee of Morris Communications Co., died Thursday at his home.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Survivors include his wife, Kate Metts; two sons, Cooper Metts and Nicholas Walker Metts; and a daughter, Lindsey Paige Metts.

Metts worked as a corporate accountant from 1985 until 2010.
