A free workshop for teachers, Bringing Nuclear into the Classroom, will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 1 in Room 131 at The Ruth Patrick Science Education Center at the University of South Carolina Aiken. The registration deadline is Feb. 26.

The workshop is free to the first 25 teachers who register. It is scheduled on an Aiken County teacher work day, but other teachers are welcome to participate as space allows. Each participant will receive a lunch, materials and a certificate of participation.

The workshop is sponsored by Citizens for Nuclear Technology Awareness and the science education center, with support from the American Nuclear Society, Energy Solutions and the Aiken Rotary Club. Registration details are available on the center’s Web site, rpsec.usca.edu.
