GLAD TO READ the speed limits will be enforced. Speeders on Highway 56 will obey or pay! Thank you, Sheriff Roundtree!

I WONDER HOW MANY of the people who take time to complain actually take time to read the bills, proposals and amendments from our Congress? If you were to take a little more time to research and spend a little less time reacting, you would be better off.

I CAN’T BELIEVE THE audacity of these old GOP senators grilling Hillary Clinton about Benghazi. I understand and it was a bad situation. I would love to ask them about ALL the mistakes, outright lies, and poor leadership under their administration during the Iraq War. Are you serious?

THE ONLY POSITIVE about my Social Security taxes going up is that Obama supporters (the ones who work) will be getting shafted, too.

I AM A VETERAN with a quarter of a century of military service. I own several guns: I enjoy hunting and sports shooting. I do not feel a need to own an assault rifle. For those who do feel the need to own assault rifles, why don’t you join the less than 1 percent of us who have served in defense of this nation so you can understand the true purpose for owning one?

THEY ARE MAKING CARS smarter and smarter with computers. Here is what I would like to see one day – a car monitors our driving habits and the price you pay for gas reflects that. These idiots that drive like maniacs everywhere they go – excessive speeding, jack rabbit starts, slamming on breaks at the last minute at a red lights, etc. pay a higher price at the pump. You go to fill up, stick a card from your car into the pump, and the price you pay is based on your driving habits. In today’s prices, those of us that drive sensibly pay $2.80 a gallon while the bad drivers pay $4.

PAM TUCKER front page weather? She has advanced to a weather person?

THE U.S. GOVERNMENT is flat broke and Obama wants to spend more – dollars and lives – so he’s now got American troops going to “Turkey‘s border with Syria … to operate the Patriot (missile) batteries.” This is help-a-friend-defend-itself stuff is what’s got us into every war since the Korean War. Stand by for more dead Americans; stand by for ANOTHER war.

"... HOW MANY of the people

Why should they? Our own former third in line to the throne explained, they have to pass them first to see what's in them.

"... why don’t you join

... the less than 1 percent of us who have served(?)"

I have no idea how or where the ranter served; for my almost three decades -- seven of those years served as a combat infantryman -- I assumed I was doing my duty so that others might enjoy the freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution. I seem to recall one of those to be the right to bear arms, one specifically designated as not to be infringed. Or was that, like speech, just for the politically correct, liberally approved?

This explains a lot!!

So science is allowed to hypothesize alternate, parallel universes, and no one has a problem with that.

Now this is a story on AC today.....I now know what has happened in my life......I actually live in that other alternate universe.....I blend into this parallel only in the am hours.....just to touch base with youse humans......finally an answer to my madness...

I can't believe the

I can't believe the pointlessness of those Republican senators grilling Hillary Clinton. Why would anyone think that the truth would come out? That's a classified matter. And no matter what got said, what was Congress going to do with any information- there's nothing they could do. A total waste of money and time.

Better redo your math

on the number of people that have served in the US DOD.

Well, 26 million have served or are serving, or about 9%.
These are just the ones still alive.

As far as the number of Private Legal owners of Semi-Automatic rifles? Registered in 2010 it was about 3.5M AR-15 style, PLUS 800k+ M-14 Style, 4M+ AK & SKS style weapons. At about 8,300,000 (2010 numbers) you can quickly see Private ownership of Assault Weapons is a lot more than 1% of possible legal ownership. Closer to 9% (where did I see that number above?)

BTW: this is not counting the bigger list of what the Socialists are calling on to BAN. The following a the "Current" List of Firearms to be Prohibited by the Socialists.

http://s3.documentcloud.org/documents/561603/feinstein-automatic-weapons...

How many of these types have you read about used in a crime in any local NEWS story? Likely 2 or 3, because 95% of all crimes are committed using a PISTOL. SO,are we to figure that is their next step once they drill a hole in the 2nd Amendment?

" The act of criminals should never reduce the rights of law abiding citizens."

Good Morning "What's Left Of America"

I too is a VETERAN....and you with that quarter of a century of military service have in no doubt been in a postion where in your quarter century haven't had to carried an (So Called) assault rifle. What instrument of the military band did you carry?

I don't need to repeat "dstewartsr 02/02/13 - 10:09 pm" because it said all that needs to be said.....and that still holds true today.

I would be ashamed to ever say "why don’t you join the less than 1 percent of us who have served in defense of this nation so you can understand the true purpose for owning one?" to anyone!!

and The Educated Joke Of Today..IS

Difference between "Complete and finished"

No English dictionary has been able to adequately explain the
difference between these two words.

In a recently held linguistic competition held in London, England,
and attended by the best in the world, Samsundar Balgobin, a Guyanese
man from Bachelors Adventure, was the clear winner with a standing
ovation which lasted over 5 minutes.

The final question was: How do you explain the difference between
COMPLETE and FINISHED in a way that is easy to understand. Some
people say there is no difference between COMPLETE and FINISHED.

Here is his astute answer .... when you marry the right woman, you
are COMPLETE. When you marry the wrong woman, you are FINISHED.
And when the right one catches you with the wrong one, you are
COMPLETELY FINISHED!

He won a trip to travel the world in style and a case of 25-year-old wine.

CG, hey, don't be dissing

CG, hey, don't be dissing that great American, Kentucky, family of Jim Beam.

But doesn't that burn your soul when you hear someone using his military service as justification for infringing on 2nd Amendment rights?

I know many of us are retired military and understand the principle of civilians being armed with all its ramifications. I'm going to utilize my well earned military benefits today and go to the Shopette on the fort and get another bottle of Jim Beam. I'll leave the gun at home.

Duck Dynasty Fans

Hey, I believe Uncle Sy is changing the way Americans speak and write. Hey, the way he begins every sentence with hey is catching. Hey, I find myself beginning more and more emphatic sentences with hey.

Funny how that show grows on so many of us. I had to say the blessing this past Thanksgiving to a large family gathering and I just hate to do that sort of thing. But I had been watching Phil on Duck D give so many blessings it just came out like one of his...accent and all. I actually had people compliment me on the blessing.

To the RANTERThat CAN’T

To the RANTER
That CAN’T BELIEVE THE audacity of these _______ senators grilling Hillary Clinton about Benghazi.

In this country, for now, We can still hold our leaders responsible for screwing up. When people die, that is something leaders should be held accountable as to why it happened.

SPECIAL NOTE: the ______ is because some of both sides roasted her on this one mistake.

The fact that she has resigned and has left the DOS speaks for itself.

BTW: When a number of former and sub-ordinate opposing leaders start dying of ACCIDENTS or heart attacks, that is called a quiet purge.

These hearings are one way to ensure we don't have too many quiet purges in the USA.

Like, the strange airplane crash with a Sec. of State on board in Bosnia some years ago. In her case, knowing too much of the internal working of the Administration, a nasty bump on the head is an easy way out for her.

Reference To First Rave

Yesterday I followed a RCSO car from Harvest Table to I-20 and the entire distance a deputy had a cellular telephone to his ear.

Don't you think Mr. Roundtree you should address this little violation of the law?
