Mother hopes for good Christmas for five children, niece

A mother in Wrens, Ga., who is on disability is having trouble providing much of a Christmas this year for her five children and the niece she is raising.

One of the children has been in the Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctors Hospital after a kitchen accident.

“Without some help the kids won’t have much of a Christmas,” she writes. “So I’m begging you, please help me as much as you can.”

The Augusta Chronicle Empty Stocking Fund has helped people such as this for 82 years.

Last year, the charity raised more than $104,000 that helped children and families across the region.
