Mom wants best Christmas for girl fighting disease

  • Follow Metro

A Swainsboro, Ga., mom whose 14-year-old daughter is fighting kidney disease is asking for help to make this her child’s best Christmas ever.

“She’s afraid that she may not see next year,” the mother writes. “I’m currently out of work because of her sickness and can’t afford to get as much. I really need help.”

The Augusta Chronicle Empty Stocking Fund has helped people such as this for 82 years. Last year, the charity raised more than $104,000 that helped children and families across the region.
