Augusta leukemia patient Brennan Simkins was featured on NBC’s Today Monday morning.

Brennan, 10, is one of eight patients from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., sharing their stories for the hospital’s annual Thanks and Giving fundraising campaign.

The television spot features Brennan with NBC correspondent Jenna Wolfe on a Florida golf course. Brennan’s parents, Turner and Tara Simkins, were also interviewed.

The interview was filmed one week ago.

Brennan has been in remission for acute myeloid leukemia since February 2011. He received four bone marrow transplants – three of them from St. Jude.

A St. Jude television commerical starring Brennan and actor Robin Williams begins airing nationwide this week and continues through New Year’s Day.
