The South Carolina Department of Transportation is seeking the public’s input on a proposed design for a state Highway 125 improvement project in Aiken County.

The agency has scheduled a public meeting from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the North Augusta Community Center, 495 Brookside Ave. Visitors to the drop-in meeting can see displays of the proposed highway redesign, which would affect the East Buena Vista Avenue and Atomic Road corridor from Georgia Avenue to Old Edgefield Road, according to a news release. A brief presentation on the project will be held at 6 p.m.

Residents will be able to offer written comments on the project. Agency representatives also are seeking information from the public on cultural and historic resources in the community, the release said.

Seeking the public input
Unpublished

does not reflect any intent to use said input. But it is a nice gesture of government concern for the public. You had your chance for input and now here is the bill. Cha Ching, Cha Ching
