Augusta roadwork brings lane closures

Road closures are planned throughout Richmond County for the remainder of the week while crews replace guardrails and remove trees.

According to news releases, Reynolds Street from Sixth to Seventh streets is closed while crews are repairing a broken water main. The street is not scheduled to reopen until Friday.

The right lane of westbound River Watch Parkway, one mile east of Rivershoals Drive, will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. today for guardrail replacement.

Turknett Spring Road at Hiram Road will be closed from 9 a.m. to noon today while crews remove a tree.

Another tree removal will result in a closure from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday on Berckmans Road near Heath Drive.
