Pedestrian struck, killed in Harlem

A man is dead after being struck by a car on Gordon Highway in Harlem on Saturday night.

Around 10:30 p.m., Columbia County deputies were called to the 3300 block of Gordon Highway, near Sheryl Drive. When they arrived, they found a male body in a ditch, according to authorities.

The man was has not been identified. The body will be sent to Atlanta on Sunday for an autopsy, the Columbia County coroner said.

No charges have been filed.

What a terrible tragedy! And after the Oliver Hardy Festival, so many visitors come to town and have parties all over town. I hope they are able to identify this gentleman and whomever hit him!
