OFFICES FOR ANIC? We’re spending $300,000 we don’t have, for property we don’t need, for offices that will house someone who should be fired … to prop up ANIC, which should be disbanded. … I’m speechless.

IT CONCERNS ME so many people will complain about naming a university, but no one has complained about the half-dressed women in the Tipsey McStumbles commercial.

FORGET THE Oval Office. Romney should be in a jail cell. With Bain Capital he raped corporations making millions by borrowing money to buy interest in a vulnerable company, gave bonuses to the top execs and put middle class workers out of jobs. In organized crime this is known as a “bust out.” I dare this paper to print the truth.

I DON’T LIKE the university name but it’s time to get on with making the best of the situation. The universities belong to the state of Georgia, not Augusta. They are funded primarily by the state, not Augusta. Accept the money that has been poured into the local economy and work to make it the best university in the system. Augusta is known for the Masters; perhaps it can also be proudly known as the home of Georgia Regents University.

I SAW DR. KITCHENS’ picture in the paper. That was a wonderful man. He saved my life twice. I am very grateful to him.

I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR what Augusta black ministers think about Obama’s view on abortion rights.

THE PRICES HAVE gone up considerably at Goodwill Stores. You can hardly afford to go in and buy anything anymore. You might as well buy things at a regular retail store or online. You can’t get the things that those of us on fixed income can’t afford to get.

RAVE FOR THE mosquito patrol. Thanks. You finally got to me after three weeks.

I AM SO TIRED of hearing about the economy. What about the war? What about Medicare? What about our troops coming home. That is what we need to hear. I thank our president for bringing our troops home and ending the war in 31/2 years. This country isn’t all about jobs. God help us.

RAVE TO Sheriff Ronnie Strength on a job well done. Now I want him to relax and take a vacation.

Well, there's you, and I'm guessing the gay-guy and ugly women coalition who're upset. Me, not so much.

Well, this is obviously an outrage! I hope to view the commercials in question when I soon go back to Augusta. Half dressed women, the very idea (a-how-how)!

You got it right. That commercial could single handedly alter the ecomony of Augusta, flies in the face of something Augusta has supported and built for years, and was done inspite of public local input and a $45,000 dollar study. The name change was paid for by private dollars and will drive retail dollars to the city's bottom line by way of sales dollars. Wait, I got them mixed up

Nevermind.......(spoken like RoseAnn Roseannadana)

Goodwill

I agree with this Rant. I have noticed the quality of items has decreased and the price has risen.

Donated items have probably decreased in volume and quality due to the success of President Obama's successful three years in office where he has done everything right from creating 500,000 new jobs, more than doubling the price of a gallon of gasoline, and last but not least, personally killed Osama Bin Laden. That whole supply and demand thing must really be true.

However, I bought a brand new Electric Rotissiere today for $17.71. Never used, it had the original sales receipt inside where it retailed for $52.00 and change. I cooked two whole chickens at .99/pound on sale. Spent $7.50 for the meat. Fed family of 4 a delicious meal with some sweet pea salad as a side. I still love Goodwill. The secret is to visit often, buy when you find a value.

Forget Heck No we aint forgettin

Dr. Azziz would love nothing more than the unwashed, uncool masses finally give up and in and move on. Then he will move to the next fiat change to the dumb masses he considers unworthy to kiss his rings.

And I mean that with all due respect.

Thumbs Up

For retiring sheriff Ronnie Strength. I believe he has done the best he could with what he had. And besides that, he really is a good guy. You are never going to be "Beloved" when your job is to have your deputies lock up some woman's grandson, or shoot some neer-do-well cause they drove a car at you rather than stop when ordered to, or run a sting that locks up purveyors of stolen goods, or arrest the drug dealer who throws money around in the ghetto like a New York ticker tape parade. Wow, it stuns me to think how much more he would be revered if he had used Love in the process! And maybe he did, he just didn't say it enough. Love, Love, Love.

Aw....Imma gonna give myself a hug, cause there ain't no one else here but the dog....and he stinks.

Tipsy McStumbles?

I'm not a prude or anything but with all the problems we have with drinking and driving the picture in my mind is someone staggering out of this bar and into the driver's seat.
It really is a great name but this day and age we should be preaching moderation.
I don't drink alcohol anymore and I haven't seen the commercial so I have no idea why I'm even commenting other than it's 2:30 in the morning and I have insomnia so I thought I'd do a little rambling!

Goodwill

I like the Salvation Army Thrift Store. I can get a great hardback book for a buck or two. T-shirts are only a couple of bucks and if I can find some jeans or a dress shirt that fits it's a huge savings. I haven't checked out Goodwill yet. I go to Fred's which has great deals and it's right next to the SA thrift store.

I have been able to triangulate you location from the info you just gave. Bet you eat at the Wife saver and visit Big Lots from time to time.

I also visit that SA. They sometimes miss great values. I bought a wooden shaft golf club from their large stash for 2 dollars. Was tickled to death. Researched it and found it was worth 3 dollars. Bada Boom, Bada Bing, put me on Pawn Stars, or Antiques Roadshow. I proudly display it in the Cave, where, if asked, it is priceless.

Ehllow fellow insomniacs.

Yep, the prices for some things have gone up. As Rebel said, you still get good deals.

@3 (Jake don't read)

One of them there anti-American, non-Christian, welfare recipients speaking out.

If any body needs to be in jail, (actually under the jail) is this so called president King SMNCICBHO who has in the almost 4 years violate more laws against America, the Constitution and American Citizens.

"I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR what

"I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR what Augusta black ministers think about Obama’s view on abortion rights."

I'd like to hear them interviewed on the matter like Howard Stern did asking people if they approved of Obama choosing Paul Ryan as his running mate. Democrats defend Obama no matter the subject...even a made-up one.

About Tipsey McStumbles

City of Aiken's public indecency ordinance reads that it is unlawful for "any person knowingly or intentionally to appear or to allow another person to appear in a state of nudity in any public place or public gathering. For purposes of this section, 'nudity' means the showing of the human male or female genitals, pubic area, or buttocks with less than a fully opaque covering or the showing of the female breast with less than a fully opaque covering of any part of the nipple."

Heh, heh, heh. That's the first time I've gotten stimulated reading a city ordinance. But I looked up a photo of the bartenders wearing their Catholic school abbreviated outfits. Niiiiiicccccccceeeeeee. I did hear the Aiken Police Department was going to measure the length of their skirts once. Whatever happened to that? I wanted to see a pic of the officer measuring it on the girl and smiling. So since I never saw that pic, I guess they're legal.

Speaking of security cameras

Speaking of security cameras, ever get a glimpse in the security room of various places with all the monitors? When I grow up I want to be a monitor of some kind. Just give me a monitor to monitor. Actually multiple monitors arranged around my control room so I can jump from subject to subject (comment to comment, heh) using parallel processing with some porn thrown in and get a buzz from the information overload not possibly allowing me to comprehend anything. I would dress up very neat for my job and look like I actually recognized reality.

JTF, well when these refs

JTF, well when these refs were working Slippery Rock St v. Valparaiso last year, what do you expect? Hey, Russell Wilson is some story, ain't he? Tom Obrien ran him off from NC State because he wanted to play baseball in the spring. He then had the fantastic year at Wisconsin. I wonder if he is giving up baseball now?

At the CBC

... that's the taxpayer funded pity party -- the Congressional BLACK Caucus-- while on a visit in her way-back machine Mrs Obama declared how blacks "rode the underground railroad." Wonder if they had to sit in the back of the coach? If some conservative had said something as ignorant, it would have lead on all the "news" channels, now and for decades to come.
