Congressman to speak to Aiken Republicans

U.S. Rep. Mick Mulvaney will address the Aiken Republican Club at its Tuesday lunch meeting.

Mulvaney is expected to cover the budget and sequestration measures affecting the military and economy, said Tony Coffaro, president of the club.

Meeting registration and social time begins at 11 a.m., and lunch will be served at noon. Cost is $15 for members and $20 for nonmembers.

Reservations can be made no later than 4 p.m. Monday by e-mailing suecollinsworth@bellsouth.net.

Mulvaney represents South Carolina’s Fifth District and was elected in 2010.
