Restaurant to honor public safety personnel with 911 appreciation lunch Tuesday

Somewhere In Augusta Bar & Grill will provide free lunch to public safety personnel within the Central Savannah River Area on Tuesday as part of a Sept. 11 remembrance.

The 9/11 Appreciation Lunch will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for deputies, police officers, marshals, firefighters, EMT and paramedics within the CSRA, as well as the East Central Traffic Enforcement Network of the Governor’s Office for Highway Safety. The complimentary lunch will be a pulled pork or pulled chicken sandwich with chips from the restaurant’s express lunch menu along with a soft drink or tea, according to owner John Fiske.

Thanks so much for the great lunch you provided us today, it was very much appreciated. Also, thanks to the many people that said hello today, waved or thanked us for our service - it means more than you could imagine compared to a normal day for most of us.
