Kroc Center pool open after being closed nearly a week

  • Follow Metro

The Kroc Center of Augusta’s pool is open as normal today after being closed for nearly a week by a mechanical breakdown of its filtration system.

Spokeswoman Beth Bargeron said the aquatic center reopened Saturday. The pool had been closed since Aug. 5.

The reopening was delayed because a part for the system was mail-ordered, Bargeron said.

That's ridiculous. Mail order? What about FedEx next day delivery? Is Kroc refunding $ to member who couldn't use the pool?
