Cedric Singletary, 34, was found just after 8 a.m. lying outside the Richmond County Law Enforcement Center, 401 Walton Way.

Coroner Grover Tuten said Monday that Singletary’s death was heart-related and not heat-related. He had been doing lawn work when he collapsed.

He was taken to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:33 a.m.

Singletary’s survivors include a wife and a 4-month-old child.

How was a heart condition

How was a heart condition that serious missed? I am not in any way trying to assign blame. It is a question for my edification.

For the sake of the children

For the sake of the children let's hope he had life insurance and enough work history for them to qualify for SS. These are the kinds of situations where I don't mind my tax dollars lending assistance.
