Comments from readers:

FOUR GEORGIA COLLEGE presidents got pay raises and the head of the University of Georgia has retired with “a $2.7 million parting gift.” Is anybody in any Georgia college learning any more than they were previously?

BRAVO TO the teenage bagger who stopped the shoplifter who assaulted his co-worker. Yes, that shoplifter had to be stopped any way possible so it was nothing but a positive for Mr. Bradford. I hope he will carry forward and serve as a great policeman.

A BIG RAVE and much light and love to Aimee Copeland who’s in our Burn Center in Augusta. Keep your courage up, dear lady; there are plenty of us here in town who emotionally support you. I’m glad to hear that your friends and family are organizing a blood drive for you through Shepeard Community Blood Center. I have been a loyal and regular donor since 1980. You now have a lot of blood buddies, dear lady!

WHEN WILL OBAMA receive the Golden Flip Flop Award. His prior comments on same-sex marriage were always against such unions. Today he now has no regrets in speaking out.

RANT TO THE PERSON who keeps ranting about the smell from the Dumpster at the Peach Orchard Post Office. Those Dumpsters do not belong to the Peach Orchard Post Office. If you cannot identify the ownership of the Dumpsters we suggest you go ahead and move out of Richmond County.

ROMNEY AND THE Republicans want to take our country back to tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires, and let Wall Street write the rules. We’ve seen that movie before, we know how it ends, and none of us wants a sequel.

WHAT DO WE DO about the nation going obese? Soon, the U.S. economy will collapse. Then there’ll be no more government money to hand out and people will either go to work or they’ll starve. And those new workers will lose weight. Nature will eventually fix this problem, but nature is a stern task master.

THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE says there are self-evident truths that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights. An Obama supporter of “gay rights” claims, therefore, that “gay” marriage is a God-given right. Meanwhile, God’s Word, the Bible, says just the opposite.

Look around you. No need to worry about Romney, it is going full out now.
Gotta have those campaign donations, ya know.
Criticize the billionaires, then let them host your fund raisers.

BTW..Did you think Obama had raised tax rates and tightened restrictions? Really?

I will cut the deficit in half........

The Emperor is asking for the debt ceiling to be raised again. That is going to go a long way in cutting the deficit. And he is making a big deal of JP Morgan/Chase loosing a couple of billion. People have no grasp of the money we are dealing with. You just can't relate to those figures. Maybe this will help. Morgan/Chase lost a whopping 1%. If you had $1000 in your wallet and lost $10, you would have lost 1%. Many investors loose more than that, in percentage, every day. Get real folks.

And about cutting the deficit in half.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=3ziiZFcWChg

Bush???

Against my better judgement I do listen to Rachel Maddow and Ed Shultz 3 or 4 times a week. On yesterday's show Maddow seemed obsessed with George W. She kept asking where he was on the deficit? Where is he on health care? Where is he on gay marriage? I think the answer is on a ranch in Crawford TX. Doing the same thing Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter are doing. Enjoying retirement on our dime. Rachel, Bush has been out of office for almost 3 1/2 years now. To borrow a line from Michael Moore... move on.

For The Guys this am

Robert Gene White, a 67-year-old man, received several lap dances at a Texas strip club Friday night, and when it came time to pay, workers found him unresponsive, KVIA reported.

A manager of the Red Parrot in El Paso says employees tried to perform CPR on him, but were unsuccessful.

KTSM reported that White suffered a heart attack while being entertained by the dancers.

Watch that ole ticker guys.....take some aspirin withya...

so when the riots start you won't have to go out to buy groceries....

While it's great to have both female and male rats, be wary of letting them play together; rats can complete the courting ritual and the whole romantic relationship in about two seconds.

Actually, if you look at the obesity rate of the underprivileged, you'll find that it is much higher. That's because the food that is bad for you, ie: starches, mac n cheese, rice, etc. are actually the cheapest. Struggling families get more bang for their buck and don't have to send their children to bed hungry. On top of that, (and I'm talking about the WORKING poor here) parents are working around the clock just to make ends meet and kids are being stuck with cheap cans of spaghetti-o's or whatever is inexpensive and easily fixed. Obesity is not just a laziness issue, it's a lifestyle issue. Until HEALTHY food is made affordable, obesity is going to be an issue for many, no matter their activity level.

Healthy food is affordable.

Healthy food is affordable. The problem is that it's not available at fast food places and it's a pain in the butt to prepare, I mean compared to a big mac or a double cheeseburger from McDonalds.

Our lower socio-economic class is intentionally kept ignorant, uneducated, unemployed, and numbed by the narcotic of "free" goodies and "free" cash simply as a method to buy their votes. The democrat party, now in charge, intentionally expands the "victim" class and continues to keep them stirred up as a precursor to social revolution leading to socialism/communism. It's odd to me that so many seemingly intelligent people willingly support such a situation and openly defend it. Are they really unable to see what's happening, or are they part of the conspiracy?

No, you over simplify here. When I was a single mom raising 2 children ALONE and WITHOUT welfare help, I couldn't afford McDonald's, much less anything "extra". My kids favorite snack is baby carrots... approx $3.00 a bag vs. a $.99 bag of potato chips. Tell me which you would chose if you only had $50.00 to spend on groceries that week?

From someone how does the

From someone how does the grocery shopping each week, healthy food cost more than quick and easy/canned food. Healthy food may be afordable for some but usually those on fixed income, trying to make their dollar stretch, is not. Cheap fozen pizzas and can's of cheesey pasta can feed several kids a whole lot cheaper than baked chicken breast and potatos. I know, I just priced chicken and potatos (almost $10 for 5 chicken breast and $5 for a bag of potatos). Frozen pizzas $1 a piece and canned spagehetti and meatballs about $1.50 a can. Got 5 kids to feed on a low income.....which you going to buy?

Seenit, not sure if it's the safest way but worked for our ceiling fan......

Unplug or disconnect power to oven. You will have break the bulb (put tinfoil or paper towels down on bottom of oven to catch the glass.....use pair of needle-nose pliers to grasp metal casing (base of bulb) and either twist or pry casing out of socket.

Abbynoll~re: Your comment about #7

Food stamps can now be used at McDonalds so our underpriveleged are getting food but it is from McDonalds. I am glad they are able to eat but if they feds would partner with subway too at least they would have option of a healthy variety of food. I don't even remember the last time my daugther had food from McDonalds. Maybe 3 or 4 months ago.
