I’M TIRED OF ALL these people sucking the economy dry because they will not learn from their mistakes and improve themselves, and so expect the rest of us to carry their load. Time to just turn off the money and make folks fend for themselves using their own wits and elbow grease. Put in the flat tax so everyone pays equally, then kill welfare, unemployment, foreign aid, child credits, mortgage credits, any
credits. We need to spend money on what we N-E-E-D, not what we W-A-N-T.
I LOVE HOW PEOPLE redefine “fairness.” Economic fairness does not mean you have the right to take what someone else has earned. Fairness means that you have an equal opportunity to earn your own living as you see fit.
TO THE PERSON driving down Gregory Lake Road in an ATV Feb. 15 with NO BACK LIGHTS! I came so close to hitting him that I was trembling all over. After we turned into The Oaks subdivision, I stopped him and told him that if he was going to drive that thing on a busy road like Gregory Lake he needed to get some tail lights on it. I noticed then that he had a 3- or 4-year-old little boy in the front seat with him. I hope you learned your lesson last night!
I HAVE A RANT: How about when you don’t want to leave your comfortable home to go pick up your pizza and have it delivered, how about you tip the driver who brought it?
YOU’RE RIGHT. THE 37 people that were laid off at Club Car would not have happened if a union was there. They would have had to close the whole plant and more than 37 people would have lost their jobs.
I THINK THE Postal Service should shut down mail service to homes on Saturday. It would save a lot of money and those bills can wait until Monday.
LOWERING THE FLAGS IS supposed to be for heroes, not drug addicts and drunks.
CERTAINLY, HIGH SCHOOL JROTC kids should be encouraged, but is it overdoing it to give them more medals than Audie Murphy got in all of World War II?
