Boil water advisory issued in Aiken beginning Wednesday

A boil water advisory has been issued for streets along Whiskey Road in Aiken County beginning Wednesday and ending mid-afternoon on Thursday, according to a Aiken Public Safety press release.

The water will be off from Wednesday 9 a.m. to about 1 p.m. Thursday while a new Cracker Barrel restaurant connects to the city’s water main. The water department recommended residents on Whiskey Road from Sharyn Lane to Brookhaven Drive boil their water as a precaution.
