An Augusta woman lost her husband earlier this year and now struggles to provide for herself and her daughter.
“I need help because no one else cares about me,” she writes. “My daughter, she and I, depend on each other. We are doing OK by the grace of God, but I need all the help I can get. He will never forsake me. Your help would be so greatly appreciated.”
The Augusta Chronicle Empty Stocking Fund has helped people such as this for 81 years. Last year, the charity raised more than $115,000 that helped children and families across the region.
