“Many days I am without food or clothing,” he writes. “My medicine has been left at the drug store, because I’m not able to pay for it.

The Augusta Chronicle Empty Stocking Fund has helped people such as this for 81 years. Last year, the charity raised more than $115,000 that helped children and families across the region.
