Young girls deserve blessings

  • Follow Metro

A Hephzibah mother who has custody of a family member’s two young daughters would like to make their Christmas a happy one.

“I was blessed to be able to step in and get legal custody of these beautiful, little girls,” she writes. “I saved them from a horrible life. They’ve never been exposed to any type of holiday setting and I want to be able to bless them like they’ve never seen before.”

The Augusta Chronicle Empty Stocking Fund has helped people such as this for 81 years. Last year, the charity raised more than $115,000 that helped children and families across the region.
