The “Get UR Country on Tour” concert featuring Rick Monroe will be held 2-9 p.m. Oct. 22 at the Lady Antebellum Pavilion in the Evans Town Center Park. Lady Antebellum will perform an acoustic show at the same venue on Oct. 28.
The show with Monroe will be the first held at the 5,000-seat amphitheater in the new park on Evans Town Center Boulevard. It also marks the grand opening of the park and will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, food vendors and inflatables, according to a news release.
Columbia County Commission Chairman Ron Cross has said that officials wanted a “tune-up” concert to make sure all equipment and lighting are working properly before the Lady Antebellum show. He initially announced the date and time of the concert during a Thursday event with the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce.
While admission to the Oct. 22 event is free, parking will cost $5 per vehicle, with proceeds going to charity, county Community Events Specialist Keela Colombraro said in an e-mail.
Tickets for the Lady Antebellum performance go on sale 8 a.m. Saturday at the Columbia County Library in Evans.
