OUR COUNTRY WOULD have plenty of jobs available if we could get “Made in USA” back on products.

DR. AZZIZ USES the “crisis” excuse play straight out of the Barack Obama/Rahm Emanuel play book. Does Azziz want to help medicine and Richmond County, or is he just power-playing?

POLITICIANS CONTINUALLY insist they cannot cut government spending when, for just one example, we have kept entire armies and navies in Germany, Italy, and Japan since 1945. That’s over a half-century longer than they were necessary. Cutting the federal budget is easy for other than career politicians who can always find an excuse to spend more.

YOU WOULD THINK that more citizens would be raising questions about why Mayor Deke Copenhaver has relentlessly pushed this ball park deal. I never cease to be amazed at what easy marks the Richmond County citizens really are, sheep to the slaughter!

THIS IS A RAVE for Bobbie at Marvin’s Chevron here in Wrens. I have been taking my vehicles there for over 30 years and have always been treated like family from Ms. Bobbie. I think even if I move away from Wrens, I would still drive to Wrens to get my vehicles serviced at Marvin’s just because Ms. Bobbie is such a pleasant person to deal with.

IF RUNNERS AND cyclists want motorists to share the road, then let the runners and cyclists get tags and pay taxes on those roads for what they are using the roads for.

I WANTED TO LET everyone know how much I appreciate for the last hour watching my tax dollars at work while a Richmond County school bus is just sitting, running on the corner of my street. I can’t get ahold of anybody. The Board of Education so nicely has their phone ringing in the elevator so I can’t get ahold of them; I get a hold of the elevator person. I just wanted everyone to know that’s how your tax dollars are being spent.

I AGREE WITH THE ranter about kids asking for money at all of the stores on the weekends. Recently, I went to a car wash on a Saturday and there were what appeared to be teenagers asking for donation. I turned around and left.

OBAMA AND ALL those who are pro-Obama should put a halt to the excuses and blaming. Quit dwelling on inheriting the problems of the Bush administration, costly wars, Republicans, Congress, tea party and just plain bad luck as the reasons the Obama administration has not been able to accomplish their goals. They need to face reality and then do their best to deal with the devastation our country is in. A good leader focuses on the future and not the past.

Comments on 2 of the rants

Comments on 2 of the rants above...is Mayor Copenhaver still around?? Has anyone heard anything from him lately? Seems that we always heard comments of some sort from the past mayors, but not this one. I really think he's just checked out. As far as the comment about kids asking for donations at places like the carwash...look, if you have school kids who are involved in some activity, such as band or cheerleadering, these kids go on trips and these trips cost money. All these kids are trying to do is scrape up enough money to allow them to go and participate. The schools don't have the money to pay for them to go, so it's up to the parents and the kids to raise it. Not all parents have the monetary means to pay for their kids to go, so the group of kids is also trying to raise money for them, so they can all go. When my wife and I pay for one of my kids to go on a field trip, we often will double it, so that a kid can go who ordinarily wouldn't be able to. C'mon..you can give a dollar to the kids at the carwash, can't you?

Is it just me, or does anyone

Is it just me, or does anyone else get tired of seeing the same articles day after day. Once I read something once, or maybe twice just to review it, who wants to see it appear two and three days repeatedly. I'm sure there is much more going on in our town and the surrounding area that would be newsworthy to print. Most of the articles listed online today have been there for several days.

Private pools may have to add

Private pools may have to add lifts for the disabled the AJC article sez....some HOAS are debating how they can handle this....if any are used for public swim meets they will have to add them..this could be a good & bad idea.....some will drop out because they can't afford the lifts.

They wouldn't have to have

They wouldn't have to have permanently-installed lifts, SeenIt. They could rent portable lifts on wheels and drive them up poolside. The costs could be covered in the rent the swim meet organizers pay up front.

@ICL&Seenit. I was thinking the same thing. I have to search for anything new to read rather than vice versa. And we are talking about leaving articles up for days and they wonder why they are going bankrupt.
