ABOUT AMERICAN JUSTICE: If Saddam Hussein had not been so hardheaded, he'd be alive today. If he would have requested his trial be moved to the United States, he would have been found not guilty like O.J. Simpson, Robert Blake, Michael Jackson, and now Casey Anthony.

KEEP AN EYE ON Casey Anthony. She'll have a book written telling her side of story. She'll receive a large sum of money for the book, get married, move to Moosehead N.D., and have a family. I don't want to mention what might happen to the kids when she gets tired of them.

WHILE OUR NATION is fighting in other countries and establishing democratic governments, we should also be fighting for ourselves. A return to the basic ideals, our forefathers established in our democracy should be the nation's priority.

IF FARMERS CAN get federal aid, I think it is about time for the builders to be eligible for federal disaster money. The feds put us in this mess and doesn't look like we will be getting out any time soon!

LISTENING TO President Obama's last two speeches on the problems facing America today would indicate that he believes every problem this country can be traced back to George Bush, extremist Republicans, or climate change/global warming. Who would have known?

HUGE RANT TO the oil companies. Gas prices went from 3.29 to 3.49 in 1 week with no holidays. That's insane ... time for gas price ceilings!

THE FEDERAL "program" called Fast and Furious gave federal weapons money to Mexican drug cartels, obviously enemies of the U.S. and thus of the U.S. government. Treason is to "give aid and comfort" to an enemy; and surely foreign drug cartels who invade our borders and murder our border agents are the enemy.

I'M ORIGINALLY from Greenville, S.C. I'll tell you that in Greenville they did lots of other things first to improve their downtown before building a baseball stadium. First and foremost they focused on keeping the downtown streets safe and clean and inviting at all hours. A stadium was one of the last things they did and I don't see where it has done all that much. I actually prefer Lake Olmstead where you don't have to pay $7 to park.

THIS IS A RANT for anyone who goes through other people's mailboxes. Just because they're military and out of town a lot doesn't give you the right to take advantage of that. We have put a hold on our mail and our house-sitter checks it but sometimes mail still comes through. It is not yours.

Since I have the r&rs for

Since I have the r&rs for now....I want to make a serious point..

Please contact your reps./senators-local & state---when we continue to lose good paying jobs like Thermo-King in Louisville it will affect everyone sooner or later.....hospitals-restaurants-real estate-grocery stores...we will all suffer---WE HAVE TO GET SERIOUS about keeping jobs here....we voted them in & we can vote them out...put some folks in there that understand this...the clock is ticking..

My parents told me how bad it was during the depression..sometimes my mom was lucky to get 1 meal a day..

We're an obese, slovenly,

We're an obese, slovenly, ignorant Nation. Austerity for a decade or so could be very therapeutic for us. One meal a day made the Depression era folks wake up and do some good things, like reconstitue the industrial base, and some dumb things, like enact FDR's socialist-lite programs. We're likely going to wreck here; we're not as homogenous as we were, so this may pull us together.

How about rather than 1 meal

How about rather than 1 meal a day, we follow Obama's suggestion and "eat your peas", now is that a pea-brained idea or what.

If I were on city government,

If I were on city government, as in Ms. Mayor, I would be looking up "I'M ORIGINALLY FROM GREEENVILLE" and picking her/his brain.
In fact, I would spend a little city change to form a task force to study Greenville...But, I like to... work hard for the money.

Clean streets?? The people

Clean streets?? The people who work for CADI(Clean Augusta Downtown Initiative) pick up trash, report pan handlers, provide safety escorts, help tourist, and pressure wash the sidewalks.. Two transportation grants totaling almost $1 million will bring new lighting and sidewalks to James Brown Boulevard from Dyess Park in Laney Walker to Jones street in the Central Business District..

Safe streets? The $3 million Broad street traffic singal, streetlight, sidewalk, project(13th-5th) is underway.. 131 overhead lights, 91 pedestrian lights on both sides of Broad street & in the center median btw 10th & 13th streets.. 12 lights in the parking bays along Broad street..

The city is installing 180-190 cameras along Broad street from 13th to 4th street.

The project in Augusta includes an baseball stadium, residential, restaurants, etc and not just an regular stadium..

I can't believe how some

I can't believe how some people think they are the exception to the rules when it comes to posting adds on people's mailboxes. It's against the law and commonsense. Don't do it. You could end up paying a hefty fine. Don't you think if it was allowed everyone would be doing it? Mailboxes would look like miniature kiosks like the messy kiosks you used to see in European and some American cities, covered with ads from top to bottom and side to side.

Countyman... I hope all the

Countyman...
I hope all the metal being 'installed' around town will be locked down and too high for a drive-by rip-off....that said, I like what yer sayin'...

As to bein' overweight, well hard work never hurt a soul.
I think a lot of fat could get lost if some folks would just get up and do something physical and quit sittin' at the 'puter all day, be it work or not, it's the sedentary lifestyle and the munchies all day, snack this and that, soda wash it down with...cookies on a break and the ladies bringing cakes and baked goods then going home and eating the wife's peach cobbler..ya don't wanna spoil her surprise so ya eat and stuff it...PC is such baloney...my God if ya don't wanna get fat, just say NO!...
Diabetics excluded...of course, but to you I say don't let it be an excuse to become obese...there are methods to keep one trim...
...but it takes work, something this country just keeps giving to others who will do it cheaper..so what's that say?
We should be willing to do it cheaper until we regain those jobs back and hold them here...if we want jobs lost because of union pay or rules, we should fight to get them back at a wage that is competitive and should stop buying from those same countries that took our jobs, and any imported goods made illegally according to USA labor laws and not the country of origin...
....we have to take this matter into our own hands if we want our jobs back...good entrepreneurs will create new things, but honestly folks, isn't there enough variety already? Do we really need someone to redesign something the market won't buy, just because there's money in the budget? Doesn't a lot of corporation money get wasted on failed market research? Why not just quit making new stuff and give us what we want, not what you want to sell us?
And while I'm at it and on this roll...let's slow down and think about this...
Hey sometimes work is just a battle of one's will...will I, or will I not? Hunger is a good motivator.
Even the good book says a man's hunger makes him work harder, knowing the payday will come and he can eat...
...anyone who has not gone without should voluntarily try to see how long you can go w/o a/c, heat during winter, decent clothes, a shower, a bed, a friend, and if ya grew up poor, ya already know.
If you've always had means and good providers, try cutting yourself off for a few days or if you dare, a week....see how you will change during that time and you'll understand mercy, as Christ told them, he who is forgiven more understands mercy, and when you walk a mile or live a day in the shoes of someone homeless, you become a bit more inclined to temper justice with mercy...once you understand, then you can criticize, you can throw that stone... just be careful of the ricochét.
All right, that's my rant for today...it's simple, if ya hafta bend over to see yer manhood, something needs to trim off somewhere, ladies, ya ought not need anyone to tell ya...and parents, ya know better but yer lazy...admit, lazy...we all are when we are tired, hamburger helper, macncheese...c'mon this is not dinner, it's dinner out of a box, add milk n sugar....we love fat foods in the south so the secret is don't go where you know they will be...yeah, a lot o' folks in the restaruant biz hate me about now...but yer killin' yer customers....for what? a few bucks, a nicer house? Folks when ya go out, eat salad, leave off the white flour and grease ball meals...yeah I love Mexicana too...but I don't eat it every week. And fried chicken is not the Sunday meal each week. Diversify...exercise, rest at the right times, feed your children well and don't buy snack foods...quit doin' what ya been doin' and turn around and get healthy.
I'm done preachin' now.
It's one of my pet peeves, can ya tell?
God bless n G'night. No hard feelings please. It's just a rant.
