Local man who died in Michigan is identified

A 54-year-old North Augusta man who died Tuesday morning in Michigan has been identified as John G. Sherlock, of Edgefield Road, according to Rowland Funeral Home, of North Augusta.

Sherlock was found dead after his pickup hit the edge of a concrete loading dock and flipped in Homer Township, Mich., according to authorities. An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of death.
