ATLANTA --- Authorities say they've arrested three more juveniles in connection with an April 16 attack on passengers aboard a commuter train headed for Atlanta's airport.
MARTA spokesman Lyle Harris said Wednesday that the suspects are charged with robbery by force, attempted robbery by force and aggravated battery. The names of the suspects -- who range in age from 12 to 16 -- were not released.
He said police are searching for a fourth suspect in the beatings, a 19-year-old Atlanta man. Authorities made three arrests in the case this week.
Two passengers on the train, who are Delta Air Lines employees, suffered cuts to their faces during the April 16 attacks.
Valdosta State interim chief is announced
VALDOSTA, GA. --- A longtime Valdosta State University administrator has been named interim president of the south Georgia school.
University System of Georgia officials announced Wednesday that Louis H. Levy will take over July 1. He will replace President Patrick Schloss, who announced April 25 that he is stepping down to work on a system-wide initiative to improve graduation. Schloss took over in 2008.
Levy most recently served as the provost and vice president for academic affairs at Valdosta State. He earned his master's degree in sociology from Louisiana State University in New Orleans and his doctorate from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, in Blacksburg, Va.
A nationwide search will be launched to replace Schloss permanently.
