Mom of 4 faces challenges

  • Follow Metro

An Augusta single mother of four is facing a challenging time. One of her children is autistic, and another suffers from depression.

"Unfortunately," she writes, "I can't provide much. They are all good kids with great grades. They deserve the world. I am a hard-working Christian mother who works full time on a night shift. Sometimes, it seems, if you have no job that you receive better assistance.

"I truly am trying to do what's best for my kids, striving for the best. Please help me to bless the best kids I know."

The Augusta Chronicle Empty Stocking Fund has helped people like her for 80 years. Last year, the charity raised more than $118,000 to help children and families across the region.
