ANY JUDGE WHO rules that a religion, e.g., Islam, can move in and become the law, superseding the constitutional law, has committed treason and should be arrested and tried.

I GUESS LANEY ALUMNI are satisfied now that they got their wish to move Mrs. Beasley. Dr. Mason ... pray before entering the school each and every day because the alumni vultures are already circling the school waiting for you.

PERFORMANCE MY FOOT. Mrs. Beasley was doing an excellent job. Laney alumni are the culprits.

A RANT TO THE ranter who said that they would vote for any politician who would ban booming cars. ... Tough luck for the next four years. We are stuck with meek Deke. Disruptive, ragging, booming cars will be the order of the days ahead!

HEADLINE: "Obama is in search of jobs on India trip." Maybe they'll give him one.

YOUR ECONOMICS STORY mentions that the U.S. has become a "mainly service economy." That's because politicians and their bigshot backers -- ever since Bush One -- forced, with shady tax laws, production companies to move their actual production overseas, carrying the manufacturing jobs out of the U.S.

BILL CLINTON WAS a master at hiding his liberalism but Barak Obama wears his radical left wing agenda on his sleeve. Thank you, Obama, for make it possible for Republicans to take so many Democratic House, Senate and governor seats. The American people have been awakened by the over the top arrogance of the Democratic party.

THE NEW "thing" to do at Augusta Mall is to actually have someone stand in a parking space and hold it for you. Really???

WHAT A SHAME that Nancy Pelosi got kicked out of her position as speaker of the House. She barely had time to begin "draining the swamp," which was one her promises nearly four years ago. Good riddance I say!

I THINK THAT the "global warming" problem is self correcting with all the volcanic activity in the world. So, we don't need to spend billions or trillions to bring the world temperatures down a partial percentage point. If it keeps going we may need to stock up on wood to stay warm.

■Dual Legal System: “Many

■Dual Legal System: “Many majority Muslim countries have a dual system in which the government is secular but Muslims can choose to bring familial and financial disputes to sharia courts. The exact jurisdiction of these courts varies from country to country, but usually includes marriage, divorce, inheritance, and guardianship. Examples can be seen in Nigeria and Kenya, which have sharia courts that rule on family law for Muslims. A variation exists in Tanzania, where civil courts apply sharia or secular law according to the religious backgrounds of the defendants. Several countries, including Lebanon and Indonesia, have mixed jurisdiction courts based on residual colonial legal systems and supplemented with sharia.”
■Government under God: “Examples include Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Yemen, and the United Arab Emirates, where the governments derive their legitimacy from Islam. In Pakistan, Egypt, Iran, and Iraq, among others, it is also forbidden to enact legislation that is antithetical to Islam. Saudi Arabia employs one of the strictest interpretations of sharia.”■Completely Secular: “Muslim countries where the government is declared to be secular in the constitution include Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Chad, Somalia, and Senegal. Islamist parties run for office occasionally in these countries and sharia often influences local customs.”

Some will say we are over reacting CG...but that's what happened to the frog when the water was turned up slowly til the heat killed him...
If some want sharia type law....go live in a country that has it...many do.

Good morning to all my

Good morning to all my conservative friends. And a very happy veterans day to all that are here to enjoy the good life and freedoms that is possible because of veterans and preserved by those now serving. I agree that if one does not respect the military man or woman, they are not true Americans and really do not deserve living in our great country. Unfortunately we now have a president that is one of those individuals. He does not deserve presiding over this country nor even living in it. I would wish him and his family a very happy life but only if they are out of the country that they despise. GOD BLESS AMERICA, OUR TROOPS, AND OUR VETERANS. If we don't get rid of this ### soon, it may be declared a NO OBSERVANCE DAY.

Thank you Soldier By Chris

Thank you Soldier
By Chris Woolnough

Have you stopped to thank a veteran today?
For the price of freedom they had to pay?
Did you gaze into those distant eyes?
Did you see the ghosts he can't deny?
Did you think a soldier's heart was made of steel?
Because he was trained to kill, he couldn't feel?
Did you see the guilt written on his face,
For the loss of life he can't replace?
Did you know he mourns the lives he couldn't save,
And walks with comrades in their grave?
Did you remember the boy with innocence lost?
Do you really know war's ultimate cost?
Have you felt the blast of artillery fire?
Do you have the courage it would require?
Have you stood in trenches consumed with fear?
Felt the enemies breath so very near?
Have you walked with God on a battleground?
Seen your brothers dead or dying all around?
Have you stopped to thank a vet today,
Or did you just turn and walk away?
From the pain he'll carry for the rest of his life,
Did you consider his family, his children, his wife?
That watch him suffer in silence each and every day,
As he's haunted by memories that don't go away?
Did you care that the soldier is still pulling guard?
That his heart, mind, and soul will forever be scarred?
Do you know how he suffers from ptsd?
Or that our precious freedom is never free?
Do you care that he still hears the blood curdling screams?
Or that he returns to the war each night in his dreams?
Have you felt the sorrow of a combat vet?
Or would you rather just forget?
That war has pierced his hardened heart,
And torn this soldier all apart?
Would you rather our heroes just fade away?
Or will you stop to thank a vet today?

Scanning through news, came

Scanning through news, came across this article.

“The state Board of Education is moving ahead with plans to phase out high school graduation tests for juniors and rely on end-of-course exams to determine if students are diploma-ready.

Students currently must pass the state’s graduation tests in core subject areas before they can graduate. They have several chances, starting in the junior year.

But state officials in recent years have said the graduation tests are redundant and they believe it’s unfair to test students on subjects they may have taken their freshman year. “

http://www.ajc.com/news/state-plans-for-end-736376.html

Well heaven forbid that we expect our students to retain information, especially in core classes like reading and math. The testing isn’t redundant if they pass it the first time around in their junior year. Guess this is the way they are going to raise the graduation rate.

The press release last week

The press release last week showing Augusta had the fourth highest private-sector job growth rate in the nation.

It was the twentieth national ranking for Augusta’s economy or quality of life during the past nineteen months, according to the Development Authority of Richmond County.

Only four cities in the top 100 had a growth rate over 2%. Augusta, Austin, Charleston, and OKC.

There are numerous companies heading to Augusta in the near future. Several of the companies coming here are located outside of the United States.

New companies, Forbes, Businessweek, Metro Monitor, GA Trend, CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, GeoParent, Milken Institute, etc are noticing the prgoress being made in Augusta.

countyman, are you going to

countyman, are you going to subtract the 1400 jobs being LOST from SRS in your total. And again may I point out that a lower loss still isn't a gain. I will agree that the lower loss is better for the local economy, but until job numbers get ABOVE what they were, there is still a net loss.
