Blaze rips through mobile home

The home at 2419 Milledgeville Road in Augusta caught fire at 4:14 p.m. Thursday, and the cause is not yet known, said Augusta Fire Chief Tommy Willis. The one-alarm blaze destroyed the mobile home and two additional trailers. Four companies responded to the fire. Initial reports warned firefighters of possible trapped victims, but no one was found inside. Lt. Neil Brown is investigating. Corey Perrine/Staff
