Died: Sept. 16, 2003 from a non-combat related illness at Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Augusta after being deployed to Kuwait with the Army National Guard's 878th Engineer Battalion. A sister, Mary Rhodes, said the family was told by the Army he died from colon cancer.

Family: Six children, Tywanda, Tammie, Latangie, Devin, Sharmarcus and Tremayne.

Medals: Army Commendation Medal; Army Achievement Medal.
