A 59-year-old Hephzibah man won the top prize -- $500,000 -- from the Georgia Lottery's Jumbo Jumbo Bucks instant game, officials announced Thursday.

Berry Thomas, an electrician, won the winning scratch-off ticket at the Need More Kuntry Store, 4212 Windsor Spring Road, according to the Georgia Lottery.

"I was pretty calm," he said of winning. "I'm happy."

He said he plans to invest his winnings.
