This is a rant to the person who said Obama was an idiot and needed to quit drinking Kool-Aid. In my opinion, the idiots are the people who don't take the time to read about health care reform and understand it for themselves. The idiots are the ones who go on the opinions of the media and elected officials who say what they want to say to get re-elected. If you really want to be an intelligent citizen, be an informed citizen and do not pass your opinion in such an ignorant manner.

This is rant for Lori Davis and Butch Palmer. Until you walk in the shoes of a homeless, shelterless person, get somewhere and sit on it. How many dollars have you given to the homeless? And this is a rave for Mercy Ministries Executive Director Fran Oliver. Keep doing what God has put on your heart, sweetheart. You're an angel.

Please vote "no" in the upcoming election in Aiken County for the building of new schools. The people of Aiken County can't afford it.

Pepperidge, here's a simple way to correct your gang problem: Where are your children? You're the parents. I knew where my children were. What's the problem? Are you scared of your children? Put a foot somewhere if that's what it takes. It's no excuse for neglecting a child. The gang problem is you. Your children are the gangs. Sit down with them; find out.

The Richmond County Board of Education will get help from the Georgia School Boards Association, one of the groups that has anointed certain people as qualified to be school superintendents. If local board members can't find their own superintendent, they're admitting their total incompetence; they should all resign immediately.

A national search for a county school superintendent is completely absurd, as is the cost of such a ridiculous action by the school board. Obviously there are Rich­mond County people who would do a much better job than have recent superintendents who were chosen from a list of eggheads anointed by some association or other.

There are more potholes on Windsor Spring Road in Hephzibah than potheads in Augusta.

Tiger should stay off the tour, including Augusta National, for at least one year. What ever happened to the "gentleman's game," where players were honest and called penalties on themselves and had morals? In protest, I'll not be watching the Masters this year.

Would someone please explain to me how Augusta can rank 18th in the nation in economic performance when 72 percent of the students are getting free lunches?
