Police search for dad in kidnapping case
Richmond County investigators are searching for a man they say kidnapped his 6-year-old son at gunpoint from the child's home Monday night.
Maurice Leon Holland, 27, of Pearl Avenue, is wanted on charges of kidnapping, terroristic threats and acts, and gun charges, according to Richmond County Sgt. Blaise Dresser.
About 5 p.m. Monday, witnesses said, Holland forced his way into the home of his child's mother at gunpoint, a sheriff's report says.
The mother, Latasha White, wasn't home at the time, so Holland took the child and fled, Sgt. Dresser said.
He said they found the boy Monday night at an apartment in Olmstead Homes off Broad Street, and he was returned to his mother.
Holland has outstanding warrants on file charging him with kidnapping, terroristic threats, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Anyone with information on him is asked to call Investigator Kendall Brown or any other violent crimes investigator at (706) 821-1020.

Some Twitter account passwords changed
Some Twitter users had their passwords changed Tuesday by the social media network because of potentially compromised accounts.
The network said on the site's @safety account that it had sent out e-mails that some had speculated might be a phishing scam.
If you receive an e-mail telling you to change your password, the safest route is to visit twitter.com rather than a third-party connections, such as TweetDeck. Signs that your account has been hacked include tweets posted by your account you didn't send or direct messages with spam.

Still no mention in the AC about the guy that was shot early Tuesday morning at 12th St and Old Savannah Rd. Don't y'all think at least a mention of shootings is merited? Thank goodness for WRDW.
I love a story with a happy ending (the "Intricate Ink Tatoo Parlor story")
ROFLMAO! Let that be a lesson to you! If you plan to rob someone, maybe a large man covered in tatoos and carrying a gun is not your best choice?!

So, the city is renting space for DDA meetings in the White's Building. How interesting that the DDA Head, Ms. Margaret, lives in the White's Building!
