SPENDING CURBS NEED to be placed on Chiquita Johnson. It's our money that she is spending inappropriately. Looks like she is up to the same game that got her fired from her last job. How did she get hired in the first place?
THANK YOU TO the Richmond County deputies for bringing the toys for Christmas to our neighborhood. You all helped brighten many kids' Christmas and we are thankful for what you did for them and what you do for us every day.
SECURITY COSTS will top $75 million in NYC terror trial? What is this idiotic administration thinking? This should have been a military trial from the beginning, but now knowing the minimal costs, this decision needs to be reversed.
I WOULD LIKE TO send a rave to Officer Shore, Car 417, who helped me and my children when we were stranded on Wrightsboro Road with a dead battery. He took the time out to give us a jump and didn't mind doing it. Many thanks to you, Officer Shore.
A HUGE RANT for WAGT. We want Trent back!
TRIED TO WATCH CNN today. There a Harvard Law School contributor made me sick saying that terrorists need speedy trials and constitutional rights to show the world we are fair. What a fool! Those folks would shove a bomb down his throat if they could.
I SEE CHENEY still hasn't learned to keep his mouth shut. The security problems on this last incident are the same as the shortcomings during his reign. The intelligence (?) community still doesn't get it. I wonder if he still has problems finding somebody to go hunting with.
THIS IS IN REGARD to a rant criticizing Jimmy Carter's commitment to advancing human rights and alleviating unnecessary human suffering. The ranter questions who is financing President Carter's activities. Well, there are thousands of us who send our donations to the Carter Center every year to support the outstanding peace, world-health and other humanitarian efforts that are being carried out by this compassionate man and his organization. The ranter might be enlightened by visiting the Carter Center Web site.
LETTER WRITER praises Hardie Davis, and maybe he's a good man. But the writer is wrong stating a legislator's job is to "create ... and implement legislation that benefits our community and state." A state legislator's job -- as with all elective jobs -- is to maintain law and order while keeping government out of the business of citizens.
