The service will feature the church's pastor, the Rev. Charles Goodman, and commemorates President Lincoln's signing of the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863.

Police seek accounts in shooting of 2 teens

Police are questioning witnesses in the shooting of two people late Sunday in a south Augusta neighborhood.

Mr. Evans told police that a Pontiac Grand Prix had followed him from Butler Manor to Belgrade Court and a handgun was fired at him, the report said.

"To anyone with a heart: As

"To anyone with a heart:

As some of you may know, Sun/Spa/Tan/Body caught fire early this 12/31/07years. A lot of peoples hard work, blood, sweat, tears, and dreams have been lost until its rehabilitated. PALM BEACH TAN had the audacity to go to our lost salon and post flyers for customers to go to their salon and tan for free! DO YOU HAVE A HEART!? YOU DON'T KEEP KNOCKING SOMEONE DOWN AFTER THEY HAVE FALLEN! I encourage every single person that you know that goes there to quit going! I personally would not want to contribute to a business as shallow as they are. What goes around comes around. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS! They are a personal business that works hard for their customers and Palm Beach is just a chain business that doesn't care. Please support your hometown businesses. They appreciate all of their customers and need your patience with them during this difficult time."

Why go to a tanning bed. It

Why go to a tanning bed. It makes your skin look orange and will eventually dry out your skin. Besides it looks fake.

I think the point chris 1982

I think the point chris 1982 is trying to make is that people just have no ethics and morals anymore. Its all about me, me , me. Chris, if i tanned anymore, i would not go to Palm Beach. I would much rather go to a place that had a little ethics. One place i can recommend while you guys are waiting for them to reopen, is another home town business that has the sweetest owner who really does care about her customers. That is Celebrity on Old Waynesboro Rd. By the way, please support Mrs. Bs restuarant that she opened on Brown Rd next to the Dollar General. Its really good food and if she doesnt get more business than she does now, she will have to close.I for one love to see someone work hard like Burnadette has and really prosper from that work. Good luck Sun Spa. Hope to hear that you have reopened soon!!

Baroness: With my old PC and accompanying printer I can print 50 "flyers" in no time. Maybe, just maybe, Palm Beach Tan wanted to help out the stricken competitor as a professional favor until such time they got back on their feet??

Replying about the fire at

Replying about the fire at sun/spa/tan/body in Evans on 12/31. It is under investigation for arson. but for the owners of palm beach going to our salon the day after the devastating moment was unmoral. I understand about competition, but they didn't want to help us. Just for a quick benefit of getting new clientèles. News to Denali123, the subject is not about tanning but the concept of having dignity and moral standards. We are going to rebuild, not give up. So please support us.

Sorry that tanning spa

Sorry that tanning spa burned. What the other spa did is called business. It may not be moral or ethical, but it is business all the same. Smart!! As I understand the original post, Palm Beach was offering free treatment.
