I'M ON WASHINGTON Road now, which may be my first mistake. But the Masters may be good for commerce and people may enjoy coming here, but the people coming here for the Masters - the visitors - are some of the rudest people I have ever met in my life, whether they are driving or walking or whatever they're doing. They are just downright rude. They do not think they have to obey any of the laws in Augusta for traffic, from merging to keeping crossways clear. They just do whatever they please.
THIS IS TO THE PERSON who put in the Rants & Raves about paying to teach the Bible study in the schools. Well, you don't have to worry because you won't have to pay anything when you go to hell.
I'M CALLING ABOUT "Son dies after nine hours in car." This lady was trying to work and support her family. We need to get some of the people on welfare taking care of the children of the people who are trying to work to support themselves. If we did that, the woman would not have had to take the baby to work with her and try to hold a job and take care of her family.
I AM A VOLUNTEER for the Richmond County school district. I think a lot of parents who are interested in their children at school should go out and be a volunteer just as I am. Then they will see what goes on in the schools.
ACCORDING TO THE Thursday morning Chronicle, the name of the Richmond County Board of Education should be changed to the Richmond County Board of Secrecy.
IF THE U.S. SENATORS and representatives had to pay for their own fuel and gas and petroleum products, how long do you think it would take for the gas prices to come down?
SINCE CHARLES WALKER JR. doesn't want to provide any of the financial statements, and the organizations he says the money is going to for the James Brown festival don't even exist, he ought to go ahead and have it in his own backyard as he stated he would do. Prove to the residents of Augusta that he is an honest man, and then maybe next year we can all support the festival.
