An event Tuesday night at the Richmond County Health Department aims to prevent teen pregnancy by helping parents and teens talk about the issue.

The free event from 5 to 7 p.m. will include separate sessions for teens and parents and will also seek to connect teens with reproductive health services. The event is sponsored by the health department, at 950 Laney-Walker Blvd., and the Richmond County Youth Leadership Council of the We Are Change Initiative.
