Nobel Laureate to address GHSU graduation

Nobel Laureate Ferid Murad will be the guest speaker next week at graduation for Georgia Health Sciences University.

Dr. Murad was honored in 1998 with the Nobel Prize in Medicine or Physiology for his work on nitric oxide, a vital cell signal involved in a number of functions, including blood pressure. He is a professor and director of the Institute for Cellular and Molecular Signaling at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

Graduation will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at James Brown Arena.
