Cares for Kids Radiothon raises nearly $157,000 for GHSU Children's Medical Center

The 11th annual Cares for Kids Radiothon, which ended Saturday, with host radio station WBBQ-FM (104.3) and 96.3 KISS FM, raised $156,867 in pledges and donations for the Georgia Health Sciences University Children’s Medical Center.

The radiothon is one of the hospital’s largest fundraisers. Proceeds help the Children’s Medical Center provide specialized care for children and families across the Southeast.

The 2010 total was $216,779.
