Judge revokes Deal's daughter bankruptcy discharge

ATLANTA — A federal judge has revoked the discharge of a 2009 bankruptcy of more than $3 million in debts by the daughter and son-in-law of Republican gubernatorial candidate Nathan Deal.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Robert Brizendine made the decision Friday after re-examining the case when it was revealed that Clint Wilder had a previous bankruptcy in 2001. Bankruptcy laws bar anyone from filing for protection more than once within eight years.

Deal's daughter and son-in-law, Carrie and Clint Wilder, filed for bankruptcy in 2009 after their Habersham County store failed. It left Deal and his wife, Sandra, on the hook for a $2.3 million loan they guaranteed for the venture.

Deal was not mentioned in the bankruptcy filing but the lawyer handling the case for the U.S. government said he should have been listed as a co-debtor.

It's news because the Liberal

It's news because the Liberal media wants it to be news. Besides it must have been close because 2001 to 2009 is 8 years if my math is correct? Deal's daughter and son-in-law are news because it a way to tie Deal and his wife to something negative before the elecetion. This is typical of the Obama/Lib campaign mentality for which Barnes is a player. The Georgia voters need to remember that electing Barnes puts GA in play for the libs with Obama in our backyard sucking up to a Democratic victory. Let's keep GA a red state, dump Barnes on election day.

Yes, VOTE for Deal. It will be much worse with a democartic govenor.
Even though Deal makes bad business decisions and just because his family members apparently committed fraud, that does not mean that he will be a bad governor....and the state will stay "red" like it's supposed to.

This judge appears to need to

This judge appears to need to be investigated. Isn't 2001 + 8 equal to 2009?

Does politics enter into this?

December 2001 and June 2009
Unpublished

December 2001 and June 2009 does not equal eight years. Maybe someone should investigate a calendar or an arithmetic book before passing judgment.

Why wasn't this caught

Why wasn't this caught before? I mean, this shows up on a five dollar credit report. Something stinks with the smell of 10,000 petting zoos.

I caught people trying to buy cars under BK when I sold cars. Took about three minutes.
