Early voting ends

In Richmond County, 4,318 register voters have cast ballots early or by absentee ballot in the runoff election to fill the Richmond County State Court judgeship currently held by John Flythe.


Another 274 voters requested absentee ballots but have not yet returned them to the Board of Elections.

Robert “Bo” Hunter III and Kellie McIntyre are the candidates in the runoff election on Tuesday.

Hunter is a practicing attorney since 1983 who served as solicitor general from 1988 to 1996. McIntyre has worked as a Superior Court staff attorney and as a State Court prosecutor since 2005. She currently serves as the Richmond County State Court solicitor general.

In Columbia County, elections officials said 2,067 people voted early for the state Senate District 24 runoff between Lee Anderson and Greg Grzybowski.

Early voting is over and regular voting takes place Tuesday between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
