The only elections set in Richmond County this Nov. 5 are municipal races in Hephzibah and Blythe and a special election to fill the House District 127 post open since the Aug. 2 death of Rep. The elections office will issue absentee ballots by mail upon request starting Oct. 14, and early voting in the November races begins the same day at the board of elections office. Saturday voting is on Oct. 26.
The office also has a public hearing scheduled Oct. 15 on proposed precinct and polling place changes that go into effect next year. The hearing will be held at 6 p.m. at the main library, 823 Telfair St.
