Lincoln County Sheriff Gerald Lawson, who narrowly lost a re-election bid Nov. 6, has filed a complaint with the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office alleging voter fraud in the election.

Lawson’s complaint alleges that a dead person and felons under sentence cast ballots, that many absentee ballots were delivered by a single person near the end of voting and that absentee ballots were seen outside their envelopes before Election Day.

The secretary of state’s investigations division assigned an investigator to the case Nov. 9, and that investigation is ongoing, according to Chris Perlera, the deputy press secretary for Secretary of State Brian Kemp.

Of that almost nonexistent voter fraud.

I guess the UN observers

I guess the UN observers missed this one. I'm sick of the fraud and dishonesty smothering my vote. Every precinct in the US ought to be investigated, purged, and filtered, and rules tightened for absentee ballots.

"many absentee ballots were

"many absentee ballots were delivered by a single person near the end of voting"

Yep, that was one of those "how many do you need" deliveries. Kind of like that Democrat district up in Ohio that is always the last one to report.

When it comes to Absentee Ballots

I would hope they have a Board of Elections that can be trusted to ensure the vote is honest.

OH! what was I thinking?
This is politics and power, what does honesty have to do with it?

I still have not forgotten the extra printed ballots of the 70's & 80's or the Ballot box that was found in the river that never was reported missing.

Such is the way it was, now a days we have electronic voting.

It effectively eliminates the messy paper trail.
Think about all the spare Electronic voting systems that can be reprogrammed in minutes?

Voting

Who ever delivered those ballots should thank the good Lord he/she did not have to vote in Rick Scott's Florida or in Ohio. He (or she) would still be standing in a line. And Gov. Scott wants to have a committee look into voting in Florida. I guess he does not know that he is on tape refusing to allow more days of early voting. I know lots of Floridians who can't wait to stand in line 8 hours to vote him out of office.

What did Floridians expect

What did Floridians expect when they voted in a guy who was responsible for one of the largest cases of Medicare fraud in history. $1.7 billion in fines. Don't worrry, Scott walked away unscathed with a golden parachute of over $300 million. Ain't he a peach?

Sheriff Lawson

Probably some of your people are also voting in Richmond County too..seems like people like to vote here for some reason. So, you might have lost some votes that way or maybe not. Looks like people vote wherever the mood strikes them.

They don't want to live here but want to vote here and like to talk about us all the time.

And while we are talking about voting...........

I would encourage everyone to download and read the 1900 page healthcare bill; it is an action novel in the making; especially the part where that says the SS Administration AND Homeland Security realize that all recipients "may" not be legally qualified to receive publicly funded healthcare, THEN in the very next "section", makes it illegal to create a federal database and track those who are illegal.............oh, and on pages 1131-1133, it is stated that over $7B is going to Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, and the Virgin Islands for healthcare. This does NOT Include all of the SSDI, food stamps, etc. that are ALREADY going there; and they are not required by law to pay any involved costs, taxes, or penalties.....................EVERY DEMOCRAT THAT I HAVE SHOWN THIS TO, DID NOT "KNOW" IT WAS IN THERE, AND SAID THAT IT SHOULD BE TAKEN OUT !!!! BAD, NON-CARING REPUBLICANS DID NOT WANT TO PASS THE HEALTH CARE BILL !!! AT LEAST NOT UNTIL THE FAT WAS CUT.............. Oh, and if you will read the "official" title of the bill............the last four words in its title are........"and for other purposes". The only good thing about this is that good taxpaying democrats will also have to pay their share !!!

voter fraud could happen? in philadelphia, it's reported, 100% turnout for obama in some precincts. "Central-city and black- ghetto" reports of 100% turnout. NOT POSSIBLE UNLESS there is voter fraud.

It's also being reported that

It's also being reported that several Counties in Ohio cast EVERY VOTE for Obama. How realistic is this? Even in left dominated Counties, there would have to be one person that voted for Romney. But this insanity also, shall be ignored as the left screams "This is all to do about nothing, just conspiracy theories from the right."

I logged a complaint a few

I logged a complaint a few years back about the Lincoln County Election Office. An employee of the office was pushing a cause while on duty. I was never contacted about my complaint.

Lawson

If the ballots were seen outside the envelopes before election day, why did he wait until he lost to report it? I guess it was okay if the votes went in his direction...

Push for a recount at a minimum

Sheriff Lawson only lost the election by 28 votes. Since there were several thousand voters in Lincoln County, I would think it prudent to at the very least push for a recount.

bclicious-

There was a recount and Lawson didn't have a problem with it. The "dead voters" actually voted absentee before the election and have passed away since then. Lawson knew that--he's just a sore loser. Check the Lincoln Journal obits and you could probably figure out who they are if you know anything about LC politics.

I didn't know that there was a recount

I didn't know that there was already a recount. That was the right thing to do with such a small-margin win.

Also, I would like to ask URRIGHT; did Sheriff Lawson suck or what? I am an outsider to Lincoln County, and I just want to know what were the issues?

bc--

Lawson wasn't that bad, I guess. There were the lawsuits, the dead inmates, the Federal escapee, a transport officer with a suspended driver's license, not being able to bond people out on weekends, the investigations into non-supporters, the drug-addicted deputies, and the overall mismanagement. Other than that, he was okay.

Don't know the man

Don't know the man personally, but I heard a first hand account of him telling an abused spouse and mother that she should disregard the TPO in place and allow the abusing father visitation privileges of the children.
