I am very happy to see Jimmy Atkins won

his reelection to the Board of Education for District 8.

Jimmy's experience will keep the RCBOE on the equal footing with other districts, which are all always in contention for the same limited funding. With Jimmy, there is little doubt as to his ability to be able to garner the South Side its fair share of the a continuously shrinking budget funds. He demonstrated he can do so.

At no time during the campaign, is far as I can remember hearing, was there one personal attack on either side. At most it was a disagreement on how to accomplish things, which is what politician used to be about. Both ran professional, clean and above board campaigns, and both of their campaign managers should also received some recognition for doing so.

Jimmy's campaign manager was Patricia Sprouse, of Goshen Realty,

Robert's campaign manager was Brent Ferguson, of Ferguson Heating and Air.

Both of these people are a refreshingly clean difference to the all too often dirty local political campaign game.

If you plan to run for a local office, in a clean honorable manner, you would be wise to contact one of these two individuals and see if they are available.
