Most Warren votes back incumbents

WARRENTON, Ga. -- In Warren County voting on Tuesday, incumbents generally did well.

Sheriff Joe Peebles defeated challenger Ricky Tarver 1,014 to 430.

Clerk of Court Shirley Cheeley garnered 922 votes to Duncan Davis’ 521 to stay in office.

In the Warren County Board of Education race, District 3 incumbent Charles Culver topped Gena Price 157 to 153 while Cecil Brown led Alton Johnson 181 to 166 in District 5 voting.

The T-SPLOST sales tax passed 910 votes to 535 in Warren County.
